On the 19th May we came to Bagura from the bangalow and went on the Nelumpath pokuna Rd and about 500 metres to the left was the tall rock and was able to see on top of the rock, Suparnaka KLF21 sleeping.

KLM42 was seen on the 19th May at 5.54 - 6.10pm on ltikala to Andarakala sleeping on a left rock near the main Rd coming towards to the bangalow after evening tour. First we couldn't see the head and when we stopped the cab it looked at us turning the head. He was lot annoyed of our presence and to seeing the lens and us straight close to him, and l was not in a position to take a full picture even if he stands, as us and Ragu was so close to us.

On the 18th May again in the morning at 6.50 am we heard the deer and monkey alarm calls in Yakala when we drove towards the Villuwa calls came from the right and we stopped for a while and drove forward slowly, and suddenly Sobi KLF12 appeared and walked in front of us towards the left side and vanished. It was just a few seconds sighting.

Found Niro and probably another female which we couldn't identify. Female was so quick to move away even before we reached them and Niro KLM 36 was under a bush and he too followed the female and went in to the left of jungle and we came driving to the bungalow for morning breakfast.

On the 17th May after passing the village all the vehicles have left, we passed the villuwa encountering a big notorious bull with dust and mud all over its body went in front of us, suddenly took a U- turn and charged at us at full speed and our loud shout and acceleration managed to pass it with a great difficulty. Then we came towards yakaka passing the boraluwala and Avi was right side of the Rd sitting in a relaxed posture and l was managed to photograph it and was able to capture good photos. Then it came to the middle of the Rd and rolled around a few times and after that she growled a few times and came to the same side of the Rd and deposited spoor looking at us. Then it went into the thicket slowly and as there was no sign of her showing up till 5.43pm, we drove forward. Then saw the Sobi KLF12 at 5.45Pm on the middle of the Rd.

After seeing Avi (after 3 munites) at 5.46pm to 5.56 pm we saw Sobi KLF12 on the middle of the Rd and sniffing the ground of the Rd and sat down. While she was sitting we heard a leopard's growling sound probably it was from Avi and even Sobi was paying attention to it and turned the head to listen to it. After a few seconds she got up and walked along the side of the Rd keeping to the left and she too did deposit spooron on the side of the Rd similar to Avi few minutes ago and, as we wanted to take a few more shots ,we closed in and while we were approaching she stopped walking and gave as a good sight .So l was managed to photographed her in closed proximity. Few munites after she left inside to the left of the jungle.

He was under a bush on the side of a termite hill sleeping turning this way and that way like passing time. Once in a while he looked at us through the covered branches. We watched it and later parked away from him, expecting it to come out . After about 40 minutes two striped neck mongoose turned up and went passasing him but they didn't notice the cub was there. As the mongoose came to the Rd we went to the cub , then he came out, and started eyeing on the mongoose. So we were able to photograph him and after about 10 minutes he crossed the Rd and climbed to the Palu tree.

Found KLM22 on the Andarakala rocks at 5.50 - 6.05 pm. He was seated all the time mostly looking at to the side and occasionally looking forward through the lagoon and where he could see us on the road stretch.

Found her resting on a small rock by the road. Stayed there for nearly an hour. Looked to be relaxed and grown well.

Was seen under the tamarind tree. She was with another leopard. No photos of that. Later they walked into the forest. Observed together with an unknown male
